UNDER THE PROPOSED SRI LANKA ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

Infotechs IDEAS, Sri Lanka in collaboration with Challenges Worldwide, UK will launch the above to train young  professionals as consultants  in development of the SME Sector in Sri Lanka.
The objective of this program is to build the Capacity, Performance, Resilience and Viability of Indigenous Private Small and Medium Enterprises in Sri Lanka. The training consultants will receive theoretical and practical training related to various aspects of consultancy work in SME. On the completion of the training programme the trainees will gain competence as professional consultants and will be able to provide private consultancy to SME enterprises in the country.

Qualification, Work Experience and Skills required;

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics/Commerce or other business created fields
• 2 years’ work experience
• Good standard of both written and spoken English and Sinhala or Tamil
• Should be based in or be willing to work in Gampaha or Batticaloa Districts
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office products at least intermediate level in Word, Outlook and Excel
• Should own /have access to a computer, preferably a laptop

Interviews will be conducted by Infotechs IDEAS staff and professional UK consultants from Challenges Worldwide UK. Selected 10 candidates will be contracted for a period of 1 year under Sri Lanka Enterprise Development Programme with an attractive training allowance of Rs. 30,000/per month and benefits as follows;

• One year scholarship to achieve the Qualification of “Certificate in Management Consulting Essentials” from the  Chartered Management Institute –CMI and Membership of the Institute of Consulting .
• Experience and Knowledge transfer of through working along with well qualified UK Consultants
• Infotechs IDEAS Consultants network membership
• Practical and skills development/training on how to conduct consultancies
